"The Human Race"

LWE Inc. wishes to dedicate this “Human Race Rainbow” in memory of George Floyd who was cold-bloodedly murdered by the police in May 2020. Mr. Floyd’s life will not be in vain as his murder is changing the world. This horrible tragedy brought into remembrance all others who were murdered in a similar way and his untimely death revealed racism all around the world with protests seen in many other countries. Since then, the shooting of Jacob Blake caused unprecedented history with the NBA and other sports associations choosing to sit out games in an attempt to expose injustice. However, it seems as if nothing can help this cause no matter how many protests or demonstrations take place. It is disappointing and disheartening to say the least.

LWE explains on our “I Choose Love” campaign page that change can begin with the little children. It is up to parents to instill positive thoughts and ways into our children. “Change” may never come unless this happens on a global basis.

LWE created The Rainbow Race app to help with this purpose and lately because of Covid-19, The Rainbow Race has been made into a tangible course a child can take with a parent at home. It comprises of the 7 books and discussion pages. These 2 activities are the main features of this product that enlighten children with positive awareness. This can also be a fun Christmas gift to spend quality time with a child. It has the same concept as The Rainbow Race App except it will also contain a “Certificate of Completion” personally and authentically signed by the author Stella Gain. The first 1000 copies of The Rainbow Race course are available at our on-line store.

When watching the protests of caring people, we saw a rainbow of skin colors from white, yellow, red and black, all supporting this cause. These brave people put aside their fears of catching Covid-19, which highlights the importance of this worldwide changing moment in time. We cannot even imagine how big these worldwide protests would have been if we were not also battling the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s up to parents to teach their children, especially while they are young and so very impressionable, that all colors of skin are beautiful. LWE Inc. had this in mind, when creation of The Rainbow Race began. The truth is there is only one race, which is “The Human Race.” It’s people’s lack of knowledge from childhood that permeates any other belief.

Every one of the lead characters in the 7 Rainbow Race stories is of a different race and skin color. The Rainbow Race kids, who portray the choruses of The Rainbow Race songs, also represent every skin color in the world. This was purposefully intended in order to help all young children around the world to relate to The Rainbow Race stories and songs. The goal is to reassure every one of them that they are precious and well loved no matter the color of their skin.

In a formal consensus taken by top child experts, the number one thing needed for a child to live a healthy life both mentally and emotionally, was for them to feel “valued.” Being “noticed” was a close second. Therefore, these little children must be given quality time by their parents or guardians. After all, these are the best people to help them choose to do the right thing.

In an attempt to cover all races and skin colors, in The Rainbow Race there is a Black, White, Asian and Latina family, etc., Therefore, the characters are illustrated in a fashion that they can be from anywhere in the world, and all children can relate to one of them. The lead characters purposely do not have names, so that a child can place any name on the character they are reading about. There is a single mom, a single dad, a child without parents, a child with parents, and a child with biracial parents in order for as many children as possible to feel involved, in some form or another.

It is up to parents to teach their very young children that love does not have a color and everyone has equal importance in the world. Some are rich and some are poor. Some are kind and some are unkind. But we need to teach today’s and children of the future to be part of the “kind” group who refuses to use the color of skin to differentiate people’s rights, value and status in the world. If every parent did this, the unkind group would fizzle out slowly, but surely. Encourage young children to be a part of The Rainbow Race, a race of children who represent love and respect for every skin color in the world.

We do not need much more evidence that speaking affirmations work!

We aim to help children learn about affirmations with our “Certificate of Completion.”
